Bukayo Saka marked Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Brighton with a heartwarming gesture, gifting his match-worn boots to a young supporter who was left visibly emotional after meeting his idol.  

Arsenal secured a 2-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium on December 27, 2025, a result that kept Mikel Arteta’s side at the top of the Premier League table. Martin Ødegaard opened the scoring in the 14th minute with his first goal of the season, a precise strike from outside the box. The Gunners doubled their advantage in the 52nd minute when Georginio Rutter inadvertently headed Declan Rice’s corner into his own net. Brighton responded through Diego Gómez, who lashed home in the 64th minute to set up a tense finale. Despite late pressure from the visitors, Arsenal held firm thanks to a crucial save from goalkeeper David Raya, ensuring all three points remained in North London.  

Following the final whistle, Arsenal star Bukayo Saka made headlines off the pitch. As he walked through the tunnel, Saka removed his boots and handed them to a young Arsenal fan.
