Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that winger Jeremy Doku is missing from the squad for today's clash against Crystal Palace due to a leg injury. Doku, who has been in excellent form for City this season, had played 87 minutes in the midweek Champions League win over Real Madrid, but was omitted from the squad for the Premier League fixture at Selhurst Park.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the match, Guardiola explained, "We will miss his quality but we have other players who can play with their own quality. During the season, we have setbacks with injuries."

City fans were left surprised by Doku's absence, with many taking to social media to express their disappointment. The 23-year-old Belgian international has been a key player for City this season, making 15 Premier League appearances and scoring three goals.

Goalscorers:
- Erling Haaland (41', 89' - PK)
- Phil Foden (69')

The result sees City move back within two points of Premier League leaders Arsenal. Haaland scored twice, including a penalty, while Foden added a fine strike to seal the win.

Guardiola praised his side's resilience, saying, "They give me a lot of signals that still we are not ready in terms of - not mentality, I would say, in terms of how we've got to approach certain games, but because they are young, some players."

City's victory was their fourth straight in the Premier League, and they will look to build on this momentum in their upcoming fixtures.
