Musiala's injury, a broken fibula and dislocated ankle, occurred in July during the Club World Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain. He's been working hard to recover and was finally able to rejoin team training on Tuesday.
"That was a very big step," Musiala said with visible joy. "For me, it was amazing to be back on the pitch. It felt great." His progress is a big boost for Bayern, who have been missing his creative spark on the field.
Coach Vincent Kompany had expressed his excitement about Musiala's potential return, saying, "Jamal is getting close. Hopefully, he'll be able to take part in a few training sessions before Christmas. That would be wonderful – for the team and for him."
Musiala's comeback is expected to be a gradual one, with the goal of returning to competitive action in January. His absence has been felt, but Bayern has adapted well, currently sitting at the top of the Bundesliga table.
