Désiré Doué has been officially crowned the 2025 Golden Boy winner after an outstanding year that cemented his status as one of Europe’s brightest young footballers. The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder earned the award following a remarkable 2024/25 campaign, during which he delivered consistent top-level performances in both Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League.

The 20-year-old’s breakthrough moment came in the Champions League final, where he scored twice and provided an assist in PSG’s dominant 5–0 victory over Inter Milan. His influence throughout the season, combined with his composure in decisive matches, convinced the panel of 50 European journalists to select him as the best under-21 player on the continent.

Doué was presented with the trophy in Turin, where he expressed his gratitude, calling the recognition “a feeling of great pride and happiness.” He dedicated the award to his family and supporters, while emphasising that the achievement reflects the collective effort of his teammates and coaching staff.
