Salah Says Sorry: Egyptian Star Apologizes to Liverpool Teammates Before Heading To AFCON

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has revealed that Mohamed Salah apologized to his teammates after his explosive interview following the Leeds United draw on December 6. Salah had expressed frustration, feeling like he'd been made a scapegoat for the team's poor start to the season and hinting he might not have long left at Anfield.

According to Jones, Salah told the squad, "If I've affected anybody or made you feel any sort of way, I apologise". Jones emphasized that Salah's comments didn't affect the team's dynamics, saying, "Nobody has blamed anybody" and describing Liverpool as a "family" where "families argue and fight, but they always stick as one".

Salah's apology comes after he was omitted from the squad for Liverpool's Champions League win at Inter Milan but returned to play against Brighton & Hove Albion, providing an assist. Liverpool manager Arne Slot stated there were no lingering issues with Salah, who has since left for the Africa Cup of Nations.
