Sergio Reguilón has joined Inter Miami as a free agent, signing a contract through December 2027 with an option to extend until 2028. The 28-year-old Spanish left-back, who previously played for Tottenham Hotspur, will replace Jordi Alba, who retired from football earlier this year.

Reguilón, a graduate of Real Madrid's youth academy, has had a successful career, playing for Sevilla, Atlético Madrid, Manchester United, and Brentford, in addition to Tottenham. He won the UEFA Europa League with Sevilla in 2020 and has earned six caps for the Spanish national team.

Inter Miami's decision to sign Reguilón is seen as a strategic move to strengthen their squad, with the club's manager, Javier Mascherano, looking to add experience and quality to the team. Reguilón's arrival is expected to provide a boost to Inter Miami's chances of success, particularly given his expertise in set pieces and attacking prowess.

Reguilón expressed his excitement about joining Inter Miami, citing the club's ambitious project and winning culture as key factors in his decision. "It's a very ambitious project, a winning club that is doing things the right way, and that's what attracted me: coming here to keep winning and competing," he said. "My objective is to keep winning, go after the trophies we're missing, and win everything here".

The signing of Reguilón is seen as a significant coup for Inter Miami, which has been looking to bolster its squad following the departure of key players. With Lionel Messi and other star players on the team, Reguilón's experience and skillset are expected to make him a valuable addition to the squad.
