Songz faces charges of third-degree assault and second-degree criminal mischief, related to an unrelated incident at Mira, a Manhattan restaurant and hookah lounge, where he allegedly damaged approximately $1,500 worth of property, including hookahs, DJ equipment, and furniture.
The singer was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on February 18. His attorney, Mitchell Schuster, claims Songz was provoked and is cooperating fully with the investigation.
This isn't Songz's first run-in with the law; he has previous assault allegations and controversies, including a 2016 arrest and a multi-million-dollar lawsuit settlement in 2023.
Songz's team maintains he's innocent and looking forward to clearing his name.
