Manchester City Director Hugo Viana revealed that Semenyo was their top priority, praising his pace, power, and finishing ability.
"I just wanted to be part of this team," Semenyo said in his first interview as a City player. "You want to be winning those trophies, you want to be playing with the best players in the world... I'm over the moon that it's done and looking forward to the challenge".
Semenyo joins City from Bournemouth, where he scored 10 Premier League goals this season. He's expected to provide a new edge in attack, alongside players like Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.
