Jose Mourinho has ruled out Phil Jones, Michael Carrick or Marouane Fellaini ahead of Saturday’s clash with Crystal Palace.
The Red Devils were without the trio during their 4-1 win against CSKA Moscow in Russia on Wednesday night.
A brace from Romelu Lukaku, a penalty from Anthony Martial and a fourth from Henrikh Mkhitaryan gave United all three points.
‘Carrick has no chance,’ Mourinho told BT Sport. ‘I think Jones I have many doubts and Fellaini I have a hope, just a hope.’
United may also have doubts over Martial after the Frenchman was forced to limp off in the second half in Moscow.
The 21-year-old was given the man of the match reward but was replaced by Marcus Rashford after signalling to the bench that he couldn’t continue
