The former Barcelona striker watched on as Real Madrid suffered a 2-1 defeat at home on Sunday.
Real had been in command thanks to Casemiro’s opener on 25 minutes.
But a Christian Stuani penalty and Portu’s late strike handed all three points to the minnows.
The former Barcelona striker - was delighted with the Real result.
“Blimey. Real Madrid have lost at home to Girona,” he tweeted.
“That surely means @FCBarcelona will retain their title. How splendid.”
Sergio Ramos was sent off in the defeat today as Real slumped to a third defeat of 2019.
And manager Santiago Solari was not happy with his troops.
"We did not close the game out when we had chances to do so,” he said.

"However, Girona played very well in the second half. We've made two mistakes, and they've scored from them."
The boss added: "We came here today after a busy period of games, We showed some effort, but in the end it was not enough and we were not successful.
"We are still alive in all three competitions and we will keep fighting."
Real play Levante in La Liga next week before a Copa del Rey clash with Barcelona at the Bernabeu.
