Man Utd face Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge on Monday night and the squad travelled down to London on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong is part of the travelling squad for the FA Cup fifth-round clash against Chelsea.

Forwards Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial were both absent as the squad travelled down to London on Sunday afternoon having picked up injuries in the 2-0 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain.

There was also no sign of defender Phil Jones as the squad headed down to the capital. Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian were also absent.

Solskjaer confirmed in his press conference on Friday afternoon that Lingard and Martial could potentially miss the next three weeks which would rule them out of tomorrow's FA Cup game as well as the league game against Liverpool and potentially the second leg of the Champions League last 16 tie against PSG next month.

"I think they'll be out for two-to three weeks," Solskjaer said of Lingard and Martial. "Then you're looking at young players, Mason Greenwood, it's your time to step in, and he's injured unfortunately, out for a couple of weeks as well.

"Sometimes that's how the luck goes but Mason will get his chance."

Fans are keen to see U23 star Chong given a chance having impressed for the second string. The 19-year-old came on for his debut in the FA Cup third-round win over Reading where he played 28 minutes but has yet to be given his full first-team debut.

"Yeah, it might be," Solskjaer replied when asked if Chong or Angel Gomes could get a chance at Chelsea. "We've got still forward options but Angel and Chongy have been training with us all week, so there's a big chance they'll be involved.

"It's a chance for anyone who plays, Alexis, Romelu, Chongy or Angel. Anthony and Jesse have done really well for us, they're vital but then again with Rom and Alexis, they've got different skill sets and will be able to show what they can do. So we need to gel a team together for Monday."

Alexis Sanchez is another player who will be hoping to make an impact, should he be called upon, after failing to impress since arriving from Arsenal last January.

"I think a player like me has to show it right now. There is no time (to lose), nothing," Sanchez told the BBC.

"It worries me. I believe in what I am because it’s game over for a footballer who no longer believes in his ability but at the same time I’m hard on myself too.

"I want to play. I want to get at defenders. I am used to playing and have had to adapt to playing 20 minutes and training at home to be physically right. I have to do it myself and be professional."
