Ozil leaves London for Turkey with his fiance Amine Gulse

MESUT OZIL has left the UK amid the continued standoff with Arsenal boss Unai Emery to take his stunning fiancé Amine Gulse to Turkey.

The Gunners midfielder has been told he is not part of the new regime at the Emirates but the German international has no intention of being forced out of the club.

Ozil, 30, is a descendant of Turkey, and posted a picture on Instagram of his getaway, days after he was left out of Arsenal's squad which travelled to Belarus in midweek.

The Gunners were humiliated in a 1-0 loss against BATE, and Ozil posted a cryptic message on Twitter the following day quoting Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp.

The ex-Real Madrid star's post read: "When you start supporting a football club, you don’t support it because of the trophies, or a player, or history...

"You support it because you found yourself somewhere there; found a place where you belong."

Ozil joined the Gunners from Real Madrid in 2013

The post was "liked" not only by Bergkamp himself, but also a hatful of Ozil's Arsenal team-mates, including Alexandre Lacazette, Alex Iwobi, Sead Kolasinac and Granit Xhaka.

The public show of support could hint at dressing room unrest over Emery's treatment of Ozil, who has been told he is not part of the Spaniard's plans at the club.

There was talk of the playmaker leaving the Gunners in January - but a host of big-name clubs including Paris Saint-Germain were put off by his £350,000-a-week wages.
