Lewandowski Blames Manager, Kovac, For Liverpool Defeat In Champions League

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski blasted manager Niko Kovac's tactics after Liverpool dumped them out of the Champions League.
The Poland frontman was expertly shackled by Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip as Liverpool secured a 3 - 1 win at the Allianz Arena.
Lewandowski believes Bayern paid the price for not being attacking enough over the two legs as Jurgen Klopp won the tactical battle with Kovac.
“In both games we played too defensive,” he said.
“We didn’t try to push forward to create situations – in the first game and tonight.
“We were playing too deep, we didn’t take risks to try to score the goals, I don’t know why.
“We didn't try to play offensive and we didn't have a lot of chances. That was our problem and that's why Liverpool beat us.
“We tried to push Liverpool but offensively sometimes it was two against four players and that’s why we didn’t do much.
“I had a lot of duels but it was very difficult because I was alone. If you are alone against two or three good players then it's very difficult.
“I am not happy, I am angry because we should have done better.”
