Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru reacted after scoring twice to powered Galatasaray to Turkish Cup final in the 5-2 win over Yeni Malatyaspor on Thursday night.
The 21-year-old Everton on loan star made an instant impact for Galatasaray setting up Martin Linnes to score the opener after five minutes before also had a hand in Sofiane Feghouli doubling the lead for Galatasaray six minutes later.
Onyekuru restored Galatasaray’s two-goal lead in the 58th minute when he rounded off the goalkeeper from close range before tapping into an empty net after Danijel Aleksic reduced the deficit in additional time of the first half from the spot.
Nigeria international made it 4-1 in the 74th minute finishing off a counter-attack before Kostas Mitroglou made the win emphatic scoring the fifth goal and the home Arturo Mina scored a second goal for the Yeni Malatyaspor with a header in the 89th minute.
The brace took Onyekuru’s tally to 14 across all competitions with three assists as Galatasaray will face Akhisar Belediyespor in the final of the Turkish Cup.
