Controversy stirred up weeks ago as TV presenter Shade Ladipo, one of the presenters on TODAY ON STV for Silverbird Television put up a post on her Instagram that got people talking.
The presenter put up a video where she was grooving to Kizz Daniels new single FVCK YOU and had a snap chat filter on. In the video, she said ‘so apparently Silverbird fired me because apparently, I’m too controversial, I say too much things, they tried to censor me I guess I don’t know, but you know what, I’m just like okay that’s fine…”. She explained further with her caption
Her colleague, Ope Adekola a member of the digital team in Silverbird TV came out to refute Shade’s claim with a video of the incident he uploaded on Instagram. The video contained the presenters and crew of TODAY ON STV telling a venting Shade to ‘calm down’. In the video Shade said,
‘fucking *** every day, last week, today, yesterday, everyday, come and take your mic…I’m done…. I have things to do’.

To spice up the drama, actor and OAP Gideon Okeke put up a video on Instagram which he has taken down now, chastising shade Ladipo but insisting there was ‘No shade’
To the surprise of many, Shade Ladipo appeared on Monday the 1st of April's episode of TODAY ON STV, saying the whole drama was an April fool's prank. STV verified her statement with posts on their Instagram and unveiled Gideon Okeke as a new presenter on TODAY ON STV.
