The 36-year-old Italian forward topped the goalscoring charts in Serie A with 26, with Atalanta's Duván Zapata came second on 23 and AC Milan's Krzysztof Piątek came third with 22.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who won the Serie A Player of the Year award in his debut season at Juventus, came fourth with 21.
Quagliarella has made 39 appearances across all competitions this season -- 37 coming in Serie A and two in the Coppa Italia -- scoring 26 times in the Italian domestic league and assisting eight times.
The Italy international has the most assists out of the top five scorers in Serie A, too.
If there's anything to show how well he has performed in the final third this season, then it's the fact that he finished third in the race for the European Golden Shoe behind second-placed Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé and first-placed Barcelona captain Lionel Messi.
Quagliarella's goalscoring exploits have even caught the attention of one of his former clubs, Napoli.
In fact, Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has said that the club are interested in bringing him back to the San Paolo.
"I think he deserves this opportunity," he told Corriere dello Sport.
"I don't think it'll be an economic issue for us or him. Rather it'll be a romantic solution for him to end his career in Naples after what happened to him last time."
Sampdoria finished ninth in Serie A this season, while second-placed Napoli finished 11 points behind league champions Juventus.
