13 players are joint-top of the Copa America scoring charts

The Copa America is lacking a serious frontrunner for its Golden Boot award, with as many as 13 players currently sitting on two goals.

Furthermore, eight of the 13 still have the possibility of adding to their tally as they remain in the competition, playing for either finalists Brazil or Peru or for the third-place playoff sides Argentina and Chile.

With no criteria in place to clarify a winner in the place of a tie, the award would have to be shared among the 13 players should none of them add another goal.

The 13 are: Edison Flores (Peru), Roberto Firmino, Everton and Philippe Coutinho (Brazil), Lautaro Martinez (Argentina), Eduardo Vargas and Alexis Sanchez (Chile), Duvan Zapata (Colombia), Koji Miyoshi (Japan), Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez (Uruguay) and Darwin Machis (Venezuela).

Penalty shootout goals don't count towards the total.

In the all-time lists, Paolo Guerrero is the highest scoring active player with 13 strikes in various editions of the competition, while Chile's Vargas has 12 and was the top scorer in 2016.

Brazil's Zizinho and Argentina's Norberto Menendez lead the historical charts with 17 efforts each.
