Alexandre Lacazette is currently running the race to be fit for Arsenal's Premier League opener against Newcastle United at Saint James' Park on Sunday, August 11.
The Frenchman suffered ankle injury in the Gunners' 2-1 defeat to Lyon in the Emirates Cup final last weekend.
SunSport however reports that the striker joined the rest of the squad for warm-down training at the club’s London Colney headquarters earlier this week.

Meanwhile, his strike partner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropped a short video on social media - showing the Lacazette working his way back to full fitness alongside Shkodran Mustafi at the gym.
In the short clip, the 28-year-old forward was without the protective boots which Arsenal insist he wore for precautionary measures.
He is also unsure for the Gunners' final preseason clash against Barcelona at the Camp Nou this coming weekend.
The manager Unai Emery however believes the £52 million striker will be back by the time they face Newcastle in their opening EPL game.
"We are thinking it’s not serious,” Emery said after that game. “He tried to continue but he decided with the doctor and with me that as it was a pre-season game it was better to take no more risks.”
