President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday hosted traditional rulers in Northern part of the country at the presidential villa. Among the traditional rulers who attended the presidential treat include the Sultan of Sokoto and Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
Sanusi and his state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has been at loggerhead on allegations that the former worked against the re-election of the latter in the Kano State 2019 election.
Although, a presidential panel set up by the president had reportedly settled the duo, but Ganduje appears to still hold grudges against the Emir and second most respected ruler in the North.
Recently, the governor ordered Kano district heads to shun the annual Dubar celebration at Emir Mohammed Sanusi’s palace.
