The game between Plateau United and Lobi Stars produced the highest goal and it was the home team that beat their visitors from Makurdi 3-1.
Nerot Silas, Solomon Kwambe (OG) and Amos Gyang gave the Peace Boys an opening day win with Sikiru Alimi getting the consolation goal for Lobi.
In Warri, Wolves recorded a 1-1 draw with Abia Warriors as Mfon Udoh cancelled out Samuel Amadi's opener.
Newcomer Delta Force battled out a 1-1 draw with Akwa Starlets, while Wikkie Tourists were 2-1 better than Jigawa Golden Stars.
