The midfielder refused to lose his cool when he emerged from a restaurant to find a traffic warden had slapped the £70 fixed penalty notice on the windscreen of his Mercedes-AMG G63 vehicle.
Instead Sterling, 25, posed for the selfie with the City fan before removing the ticket and driving away.
It is believed the footballer had paid by phone to park in a bay but the time limit had expired by the time he finished his lunch with a friend at Rio Ferdinand's Rosso restaurant in Manchester.
An onlooker said: ''Most motorists probably would have been cursing the warden after such a nice lunch but Raheem appeared totally unruffled and was happy to pose for the selfie first before grabbing the ticket.
