Paris Saint-Germain has been crowned Ligue 1 champions after the season was ended early due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to French publication L’Equipe. Paris Saint Germain were 12 points clear of second-placed Marseille when the season was called off by the government and had a game in hand over their rivals.
It is not yet known whether any sides will be relegated to Ligue 2.
Nimes, Amiens, and Toulouse are in the bottom of the league standing.
The title win will be PSG’s third consecutive triumph and they will likely qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Marseille, Rennes and Lille currently occupy the remaining European qualification spots but, as with relegation, no decision has been made about qualification yet.
