After few minutes of being attended to in the sidelines, he was later stretched off and Emiliano Martinez came on .
Arsenal got the break through when Nicolas Pepe curled home a stunner from am assist by Bukayo Saka.
But Arsenal's defense couldn't clear their lines as saw Dunk scrambled home the equaliser.
Brighton's forward, Maupay scored the late winner as Arsenal remain in tenth on the league standings after Palace defeated Bournemouth last night.
Speaking after the game, Arteta expressed his frustration after conceeding such goals.
He told BBC Sport: "I am very frustrated, It is unacceptable the way we lost the game.
"We like competing and I know we have a young squad but still, we threw the game away. We had to put it to bed earlier."
If you recall that Arsenal were thrashed on Wednesday against Manchester City as Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden were on target in the 3-0 win at the Etihad.
