Real Madrid move back to the top of the La Liga standings following their 2-0 win against Mallorca on Wednesday night.
Barcelona were on top for 24 hours after their 1-0 win against Bilbao on Tuesday, as Ivan Rakitic goal was the difference.
Goals from Vinicius and Sergio Ramos ensured Zinedine Zidane side move back on top due to head to head rule.
19th minutes goal from Vinicius put Madrid in the lead until captain Sergio Ramos fired home a free kick in the second half.
The manager of the Los Blancos have called on the board to hand their captian a new deal.
It's been gathered that Ramos’ current deal at the Bernabeu will expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to Zidane, he would be glad for the Spanish international to retire with Real Madrid.
'Sergio belongs here as a player,’ Zidane told reporters after the win against Mallorca.
‘He’s been here for years and he should retire here. It’s what I think and I’ll stand by it.’
Also, fans were surprised as Zidane decided to hand Gareth Bale since February.
He praised Bale saying the Welsh international is an important player to his squad.
Zidane said: ‘We’re happy with what we’re doing and Gareth is an important player, he’s always shown that. The important thing is to play like we’re playing. The players change, but the important thing is that the dynamic doesn’t change.
‘As always, there are players who are going to have more minutes, but that has been the case all along and it’s not going to change.’
