It's was gathered that Leroy Sane rejected a contract extension to return to Germany to join the Bavarians.
Sane put pen to paper in a long term deal worth 54.8m pounds on s five years deal with Bayern Munich.
Bayern have already won the domestic double under Hansi Flick in the just ended season but still in the race for a treble.
Hansi Flick side will host Chelsea in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16.
The first leg ended in 3-0 in favour of the German gaints.
Sane has cleared rumours that he moved to join Bayern because of money.
Speaking to Sport old, he said: "It wasn't easy. Pep Guardiola and this fantastic team were the reason why I moved to Manchester. But I wanted to do something new.
"The concept and the plans of FC Bayern were the best match for my ideas. That's why I came to my decision."
The former Schalke 04 youngster also admitted that the football philosophy of the German Champions suit his playing style.
Sane said:“The Bayern system really fits me perfectly. Wingers characterize Bayern’s game; that of course suits me very well. That was very much a key point for me.”
He will wear the jersey number 10 shirt next season .
