Mikel Arteta has been getting his squad ready ahead of the 2020-21 season. The Gunners finished the campaign in eight position but sealed a spot in the Europa League following their FA Cup triumph against Chelsea.
Arsenal has been recruiting players in various departments as Willian joined as a free against from Chelsea, Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares have signed permanently.
Williams Saliba has joined the club after his loan deal at Saint Etienne ended and he made his debut in the friendly wọn against MK Dons.
Meanwhile, the Gunners boss has revealed that Matteo Guendouzi still has a place in his team.
Recall that the French youngster hasn't feature for Arsenal since his burst up against the Brighton player, Neal Maupay back in June.
"Everybody is going to have the same opportunities. They'll have to show with their performances and their attitude that they are better than their team-mates or somehow contributing to what we want to achieve this season."
Arteta has also admitted that he has spoken to the player since the burst up with saw Mikel sideline him all through the remaining games.
Arteta added: "Yes [I have spoken to him]... to tell him exactly that he’s going to be part of the team and at the moment he’s like any other player in our squad. He deserves first of all to be treated exactly the same and I will do that to my best capability."
Arsenal set to face Liverpool at Wembley stadium in the Community Shield on Saturday.
