The transfer window is expected to close today, October 5th 2020. It's been confirmed that clubs must ensure they complete their deals before 12pm.

Earlier today Arsenal confirmed the exit of Matteo Guendouzi. It's been reported that the French youngster hae left on a season loan to Hertha Berlin.

Recall that Guendouzi fell out of Mikel Arteta side team following his burst up against Brighton Hove Albion in June at Amex stadium.

Guendouzi was involved in a burst up against Neal Maupay who had accidentally injured Bernd Leno who was substituted.

He has since been frozen out of the team and seems Mikel Arteta has made the decision to let him leave the Emirates stadium.

"Shortly before the transfer window closed, the blue-whites strengthened again. Mattéo Guendouzi moves to Hertha BSC!," a statement reads.

"The Frenchman wears the jersey with the flag on his chest for one season, the Berlin and Arsenal FC agreed on the corresponding loan deal on Monday afternoon."

Following pictures posted on social media of Hertha Berlin, Guendouzi will wear the no.8 shirt at the Bundesliga side.

Meanwhile, the midfielder has spoken about the reason he decided to leave Arsenal, at least for this season.

"The discussions with those responsible convinced me," he said. "I don't just want to develop personally, but help the whole association to take the next step.

"I feel like Hertha and Berlin! "
