Mikel Arteta has remain optimistic on Kieran Tierney appearance for Saturday's clash in the Premier League.
This weekend, Mikel Arteta will travel to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday to face his former boss in Pep Guardiola.
Recall that the Citizen's defeated Arsenal 3-1 last season at Etihad which also saw David Luiz receive a red.
But Mikel Arteta got his revenge when he defeated Guardiola in the semi final of the FA Cup last season and went ahead to win the trophy with a 2-1 win against Chelsea in the final.
Ahead of Saturday's game, Tierney is a major doubt following coronavirus scare.
If you recall that Tierney and Ryan Christie, have reported to undergo two weeks of quarantine after they were in "close contact" with Stuart Armstrong, who had tested positive during international break.
Goal reports that Arsenal and the health authorities of Scotland have been in talks, with the north London club requesting to bring Tierney back to the England.
“I hope so,” said the Arsenal boss, when asked whether the left-back would be available to face Manchester City on Saturday. “This is getting very complicated when you are sending players abroad and obviously you lose control.
“Some authorities have different regulations to the actual ones in the Premier League. We are still having some discussions with the authorities and hopefully we will know more this afternoon.”
