Arsenal receives injury boost as Martinelli makes return after 9 months on sidelines

Arsenal have been handed injury boost with the latest news that 29 years old forward has returned to full training.
Although, the fitness of the forward is yet to be confirmed but Mikel Arteta has been handed options in the forward line of the Gunners. 

Arsenal haven't been convincing so far this season, with their captain ad top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang haven scored just two goals. 

While the Gunners haven't been keeping clean sheet at the back. Arsenal have fallen to 15th on the league table after their 2-0 loss against Tottenham Hotspur last week.

This week, the north London will return to the Europa League. Arsenal will face Dundalk in a dead rubber game haven sealed qualification into the next round of the European tournament.

It's been gathered that Gabriel Martinelli is back in the squad after suffering a serious knee injury in training nine months ago.

If you recall that Martinelli scored 10 goals in all competitions last season. 


He said: “I’m feeling very well, I’m regaining confidence and I can feel my knee is better. After an injury like this you are kind of scared to force the knee again but the past couple of weeks it has been fine and soon I can start training with the ball.

“I think we have an excellent squad and along with Mikel’s forward-thinking and winning mentality we can carry on doing well. We are playing well and training well, everyone wants to win and we are all giving everything. I believe this season is very promising."
 
According to Goal, Martinelli played for the Gunners' Under-21 side on Tuesday night in their Papa John's Trophy clash with AFC Wimbledon. 

It was gathered that Arsenal U21 lost 3-0 as Tim Akinola and William Saliba were sent off in the final few minutes against AFC Wimbledon.


Th Brazilian added: “We won trophies last season and I believe we can win this season again and also qualify for the Champions League.”
