Last night, RB Leipzig shocked Manchester United as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his boys wrre dumped out of the Champions League.
The Red Devils have fallen into the second tier of European football.
Going into the game at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday night, Manchester United needed at least draw to seal their qualification as they were in 9 points along with RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain who will face Basaksahir.
But United were quick to fall behind following goal from Angelino to before Amadou Haidara added the second. RB Leipzig got the third from Justin Kluivert.
Although, Manchester United pulled two late goals from Bruno Fernandes penalty and an own goal from Ibrahima Konate.
The 3-1win for Leipzig saw advance to the nezt round of 16.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho have hinted that Manchester United are now one of the favourites to win the Europa.
"Manchester United become one of the top favourites to win the competition," the Portuguese told a press conference on Wednesday.The teams that drop from the Champions League are strong and normally don’t belong to the level of the Europa League.
“United are one of the top teams. The group was very hard with Paris Saint-Germain and Leipzig. We knew it was not going to be easy for any of them.”
For Tottenham, they will return to the Europa this week when they face Antwerp on Thursday night.
