West Brom have appointed Sam Allardyce as their manager after they sacked Slaven Bilic.

The 66-year-old Dudley-born boss has managed a record eight clubs in the Premier League, including Bolton Wanderers, Newcastle United, Blackburn Rovers, West Ham United, Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Everton.
Allardyce made over 550 league and cup appearances in a 21-year playing career, representing seven clubs across the English Football League.

Allardyce has recorded victories in 174 of his 512 Premier League matches, claiming six Manager of the Month awards in the process.

Today, he met the players at their training ground for the first time since he was appointed.

It's been gathered that Sam Allardyce will manage The Baggies in their first game in charge when they face Aston Villa this week.
