Injury woes seems to continue for Liverpool in their ongoing title defense. The Reds enjoyed a fantastic last season which saw Jurgen Klopp's side coast to the Premier League title for the first time in 30 years.

The defense of the league hasn't been easy for the Reds with a lot of senior players currently on the treatment table.

The latest happens to be Diogo Jota who joined the club this summer. If you recall that the Portuguese 24 years old completed the 45m pounds move from Wolverhampton.

He started his new football education under Jurgen Klopp on the high after he scored nine goals from 17 games so far.

Jota has given the club's forward Roberto Firmino competition for his starting place, but the manager has insisted that Firmino remains an important player in his squad.

Meanwhile Jota has revealed that his recovery progress is going well, although no expected date of return.

He told Liverpool’s official website: “Now I am supporting from the outside it is not easy - it’s even harder when you need to suffer as a fan and you can do literally nothing to help the team on the field.

“I’m doing my best to be back as soon as possible. Things are going well but knee injuries are always complicated so we cannot rush things, but I am doing well and I will be back on the field as soon as possible, like I say.”

Just so you know, Jota suffered the injury Liverpool's 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton weeks ago.

This means Liverpool will have to plan without the forward when his side travel to Selhurst Park this weekend to face Crystal Palace.
