It's step by step - Virgil Van Dijk gives update on his recovery from ligament injury

Virgil Van Dijk has given Liverpool fans glimpse of hope following the latest medical reports.
The Netherlands international has been on the treatment table since October. This came after Dijk was forced off the pitch during a 2-2 draw against Everton in the Merseyside derby after a horror challenge from Jordan Pickford. 

After the game, it was confirmed that the former Southampton defender who joined the Reds for 70m pounds will be sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury. He's expected to be out for nine to ten months.

There are speculations they he could even miss the Euro 2020 which is expected to kick off next year. 

It's been gathered that Virgil Van Dijk has missed 15 games across all competitions so far since he got injured. 
Earlier today, Van Dijk posted a video of his latest training session. He caption the video saying: "step by step"

Meanwhile, Liverpool have managed the injury crisis with the absence of Van Dijk. Jurgen Klopp have also been without Thiago Alcantara, Joe Gomez and Shaqiri.

Liverpool are currently on top of the Premier League after match day 13.
