Nigerian and Watford star, William Troost Ekong was excited to see his country mate Jude Ighalo.

Both players got a chance to link up with each other last night at Old Trafford stadium when Manchester United hosted Watford in the third round of the FA Cup.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side secured a 1-0 win against Watford after Scott McTominay header in the 5th minutes.

Troost-Ekong played 76 minutes in the game before he was replaced while Ighalo was an unused substitute in the game as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn't give the 30 years old forward the opportunity to face his former club.

After the game, both footballers posed for a selfie, “Great to see my big brother Odion Ighalo! Keep flying the flag for us,” Troost-Ekong tweeted.

Just so you know, Ekong played along with Ighalo at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, when the Super Eagles won bronze in Egypt, after which Ighalo retired from international football.

Recall Ighalo spent two-and-a-half years at Watford before he moved to China and return to England after two years for a loan move to Manchester from Shanghai Shenhua.

While Troost-Ekong recently complete his permanent move from Serie A club Udinese in September 2020.

Watford are currently playing in the championship after they were relegated from the Premier League last season. The London based club would be pushing to make a return to the Premier League next season.
