Nigeria ended Benin Republic long 8 years unbeaten home record after Paul Onuachu headed a 93rd minutes winner on Saturday.
The Squirrel of Benin hosted Nigeria who had already qualified for the 2022 AFCON tournament going into the game following Sierra Leone goalless draw against Lesotho.
With the game poised for a goalless score line, the winner came when a corner kick swung in the box of Benin side who failed to clear their lines as Onuachu rose highest to head home a rebound after Victor Osimhen shot was initially saved.
After the game, Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa expressed his gratitude for the victory as he praised the team for their effort.
Musa who didn't play the game also appreciated the Super Eagles fans for their support.

The victory at Port Novo means Nigeria have moved to 11 points as they remain on top and unbeaten in the group.
Gernot Rohr men will now return to Lagos to prepare for their final game against Lesotho on Tuesday evening. The game is expected to be serious at the Teslim Balogun stadium.
It will be the first time the national team will play a football match in Lagos since 10 years.
