Hull City earned promotion from League One back to the Championship. This comes after one year in League One, the Tigers ensured they will be in the second tier next season after a 2-1 win at Lincoln on Saturday.
Meanwhile the club tweeted about their return to the Championship as they joked about their withdraw from League One to join the new 23 club competition.
It looks like a slight dig at the European Super League which received a lot of backlash last week which saw their founding clubs withdraw following pressure from their fans.
They tweeted: “Hull City can confirm that it has formally begun the procedures to withdraw from Sky Bet League One and join 23 clubs in a new competition, the Sky Bet Championship.”
