The manager hinted that Juan Mata might not be granted regular playing time but rather a squad player if he decides to stay.
Just so you know, Mata has made just 16 appearances across all competitions this season.
Solskjaer added: "But of course, it’s hard, as I’ve said so many times, to leave good players out, good people out of the team.
"It’s about what does he want as his next step in his career? Is it [to] still play out his career here, or is it going somewhere else?"
Just so you know, Mata has won the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League with Manchester United.
