In the early game, it was reported that Denmark midfielder Eriksen collapsed on the pitch in the Group B game with Finland and received emergency treatment on the field.
Although, he was revived before being stretched off the pitch and the game restarted after an hour and the half. Finland defeated Denmark 1-0.
Meanwhile, Lukaku who gave Belgium the lead after 10 minutes from a mistake by Andrey Semenov ran to the camera and was spotted saying, "Chris I love you...."
The Inter Milan striker was dedicating his goal to his friend Christian Eriksen.
If you recall that Lukaku along with Eriksen helped Inter Milan win Serie A in 2020-21 season under Antonio Conte for the first time since 2009-10 when the Nerazzurri won it under Jose Mourinho.
Roberto Martinez's side added their second before half-time after substitute Thomas Meunier scored for Belgium to put them in the comfortable position.
Speaking to ITV, Lukaku said: "I was scared. You live strong moments together. I spent more time with him than with my family.
"It was difficult to play the game. I hope he is healthy and I dedicate this performance to him."
Romelu Lukaku who is currently in form scored his team's third goal in the closing stages of the game to complete the 3-0 win.
