Argentina have finally ended their drought for international trophy. One man who will be the happiest among the Albiceleste is their captain Lionel Messi.

Despite all he has achieved in club football with Barcelona, Messi is yet to win an international trophy with his national team.

The Barcelona captain is the best player of the tournament, he has scored the highest number of goals. He has also produced the highest number of assists.

Argentina defeated Brazil 1-0 at the Maracanã stadium in the early hours of Sunday morning to lift the trophy after 28 years.

It was the first time that Argentina will win the Copa America trophy since 1993. The match winner for the Albiceleste is Paris Saint-Germain star, Angel Di Maria. 

The forward's strike in the 22nd minute was enough for the Albiceleste despite losing back to back finals in the past against Brazil and chile.
