Alexx Ekubo is a Nigerian actor and model. The movie star was born on 10th of April 1986 (age 35 years), Port Harcourt. The 35-year-old actor came into the limelight after he emerged first runner up at the 2010 Mr Nigeria contest.
Alexx Ekubo featured in his first Nollywood movie in 2005 and has continued to build his brand in the industry. Recall that the handsome actor won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award at the 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in the Weekend Getaway.
On Sunday (August 29th 2021), Alexx Ekubo took to his verified Instagram page (@alexxekubo) to revealed he has been honoured with a doctorate degree. The movie star has been honoured Doctorate Degree in Arts & Culture by the governing council of the Institut Supérieur de Communication et de Geston (ISCG UNIVERSITY) in Benin Republic.
The 35-year-old actor shared photo of himself rocking a graduation gown with the caption:
"Introducing, Dr Alexx Ekubo. Thanks to the governing council of the Institut Supérieur de Communication et de Geston (ISCG UNIVERSITY) for conferring on me Doctorate (Honorary) Degree in Arts & Culture."
Meanwhile, Alexx Ekubo engagement with his longtime girlfriend Fancy Acholonu has been called off. The movie star girlfriend confirmed the split few days ago with a post on her social media space.
"Hey guys, I am writing to inform you all officially that I have ended my relationship and engagement and I have called off the wedding with Alexx Ekubo,” the American-born model wrote.
“I am aware this may be a shock to many people. I made the best decision for myself, because it is important that everyone finds happiness and live in their truth. At this time, my family and I ask for you all to please respect our privacy. Thank you so much.”
Alexx Ekubo and Fancy Acholonu were scheduled to walk down the aisle this November.
