Real Madrid have continued to extend contracts of their players on long term deals.

The Los Blancos are currently second in the La Liga table after they were held to a 3-3 draw against Levante last week. Real Madrid defeated Deportivo Alaves 4-1 during their match day one fixture.

Recall that the Los Blancos finished second in the La Liga table last season under Zinedine Zidane. The French boss left his role as manager at the end of the season and he was replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

Carlo Ancelotti has handed contract extensions to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, Karim Benzema, Nacho Fernandes, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Dani Carvajal.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid confirmed that midfielder Fede Valverde has signed six years contract extension. The 23-year-old contract was set to expire in 2025, but he has signed new deal until 2027 with the Spanish club. The Uruguay international has played 104 games for Real Madrid since he made his debut in 2018.

Recall that Valverde joined Real Madrid in January 2016 from Uruguayan club, Peñarol. He played for Real Madrid Castilla before he was sent on loan to Deportivo La Coruna in 2017.
