Gabriel Martinelli return to Arsenal training 24 hours after winning gold medal with Brazil at Olympics

Arsenal youngster has resumed training "barely 24 hours" that he played in the final of the Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Gabriel Martinelli is one of the "hottest" "young" and "developing" players at the Emirates. The Brazilian international guided the Selecao to "glory" after they defended their men's Olympic gold medal.

Recall that Brazil defeated Spain 2-1 after extra time to claim their second successive gold medal at the Olympics.

After the game, Martinelli shared a snap of himself rocking the jersey number 21 as he kissed the gold medal inside the dressing room.

Earlier today (Monday August 9th 2021), Arsenal confirmed that Gabriel Martinelli has returned to training. He was spotted at the London Colney this afternoon.

The talented striker will provide "attacking options" for Mikel Arteta ahead of the 2021-2022 season.

Martinelli has started preparation for the new Premier League season which will kick off this Friday. The Gunners will travel to face "newly promoted" club Brentford.
