Memphis Depay has been included in Barcelona squad to face Real Sociedad

Barcelona set to kick off their 2021-2022 La Liga season. The Blaugrana will host Real Sociedad at Camp Nou on Sunday night.

Recall that Ronald Koeman's side finished third in the La Liga last season but they clinched the Copa del Rey trophy.

Barcelona have completed the signing of Memphis Depay from Lyon, Sergio Aguero and Eric Gracia from Manchester City and Emerson Royal from Real Betis this transfer window.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi have left the Spanish club after 21 years. The Argentine international has completed his move to Paris Saint-Germain on two years deal as a free agent.

On Saturday, Barcelona confirmed that their new signings have been registered to play in the league after Gerard Pique agreed to reduce his salary, Dailymail.co.uk reports. 

Ronald Koeman has named the 23 players to face Real Sociedad. Memphis Depay, Eric Garcia and Emerson have been included in the match day squad. Also, Frenkie de Jong, Clement Lenglet and Gavi have been passed fit for the game. 

ABSENTEES 

Barcelona have confirmed that Ansu Fati, Óscar Mingueza, Marc-André Ter Stegen, Ousmane Dembélé, Sergio Agüero are available due to injuries. 

Meanwhile Pjanic, Umtiti, Coutinho and Collado were not included due to fitness problems.
