The Real Madrid star Bale won a penalty after 5 minutes which he converted to give Wales the lead.
However, under their new boss Georgi Kondratiev, Belarus equalised from Vitali Lisakovich who also scored from the spot after Chris Gunter needlessly gave away a penalty in the 29th minutes. Belarus took the lead for the first time when Lisakovich punished Wales further when supplying Pavel Sedko to put his side 2-1 in 31st minutes.
Wales made it 2-2 when Ben Davies won the third penalty of the game when taking a tumble in the box and Bale made no mistake from 12 yards in the 69 minutes.
In the 90th minutes, Mark Harris' effort cleared off the line, but Dan James recycled the ball for Wales which saw Gareth Bale's left-footed shot found a way into the net.
