Claudio Ranieri side threatened the Blues with series of attack in the first half, but it was Chelsea that led against the run of play, Mason Mount finishing off a passing move with time and space after he had hit the post in the Blues’ first attack.
But Emmanuel Dennis struck the equaliser after beating Antonio Rudiger with a stepover and Edouard Mendy with a shot that deflected in off the defender to make it 1-1.
Following several changes from Thomas Tuchel with less than 20 minutes left to play, Hakim Ziyech who was the replacement for injured Chalobah, pounced on Mount’s cross on 72 minutes to put Chelsea back in front.
