30 years old Norway international seems to be have made a swift recovery back into action after he nearly lost his sight following a fireworks accident. 


Omar Elabdellaoui is a professional footballer who plays as defender for Turkish club Galatasaray and Norway national team. 




The 30 years Galatasaray defender reportedly lost his vision when a firework exploded in his face. 

It was gathered that the sad incident happened New Year's Eve following a fireworks accident that caused him to lose his sight. He was admitted at the hospital with fears that he might loose his sight. 




But after 13 months and 11 surgeries, Omar Elabdellaoui is back on the pitch doing what he loves to do best. 



Meanwhile, the 30 years old was pictured wearing a customized glasses to aid his vision while playing football.
