Arsenal suffered 2-1 defeat against Brighton Hove Albion in front of the Gunners fans at the Emirates stadium on Saturday.

Brighton Hove Albion went ahead after 28 minutes when Mwepu laid the ball off to Trossard before the forward placed the ball into the top corner.

Arsenal thought they had equalised from Gabriel Martinelli header just before half-time. The Brazilian sent his header  home from a corner. However, replays showed that he was offside as Gabriel nodded the ball back to him and the goal was disallowed after a lengthy VAR check.

The full back scored the second for Seagulls in the 66 minutes, Mwepu turned from provider to scorer as he fired home a brilliant first-time effort after Caicedo found him on the edge of the box.

Martin Odegaard whose free kick struck the cross bar finally pull a late goal back for Arsenal with a shot from distance deflected off Welbeck and over Sanchez into the back of the net.
