35 years old striker has expressed his excitement about his national team mate joining Liverpool, a club he played for few years ago. 

Recall that the Reds completed the record signing of Darwin Nunez from Benfica on a six years deal this transfer window. 


Meanwhile Luis Suarez sends his blessing to fellow Uruguayan, Darwin Nunez after his move to Liverpool.


Darwin Nunez who is 22 remains optimistic about his debut season with the Reds as he hope to match Suarez record during his stint with Liverpool. 

Suárez signed for Premier League club Liverpool, in 2011 and he won the League Cup in his first full season. In 2014, he equalled the goalscoring record for a 38-game Premier League. He moved to Barcelona in a transfer worth £64.98 million (€82.3 million), in 2014 where he went on to win several trophies at Camp Nou before departing for Atletico Madrid in 2020.
