There have ongoing transfer speculation that Chelsea have agreed a fee for the signature of Brighton Hove Albion full back, Marc Cucurella.

The Spanish international was initially been linked to join Pep Guardiola side at Manchester City following the departure of Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal. But City were unable to match Brighton £50m asking price for Cucurella.

Chelsea emerged front runner in the race for the defender as it was rumoured that Blues have agreed personal terms and fee.

Meanwhile Brighton have release a statement downplaying that a deal is done.

"Contrary to inaccurate reports from numerous media outlets this evening, no agreement has been reached with any club to sell Marc Cucurella," the statement reads.
