David Alaba celebrates as he scores winner for Real Madrid against Almeria in their opening La Liga (Highlights) 2022-23

Real Madrid survived a scare to beat Almeria with a score of 2-1 on the first day on this season's La Liga season.

The Los Blancos began their title defense by winning in a home match against Almeria on Sunday evening.

The home team had a sixth minutes ahead after Largie RAMAZANI stunned the crowd in the Power Horse Stadium into ecstasy by slipping over Thibaut Courtois and giving his team an unexpected advantage.

However, Real Madrid dominated possession during the first period, they finally got awarded a goal in the second.

Lucas Vazquez scored the equaliser with a brilliant finish for Carlo Ancelotti side before David Alaba made it a 1-0 for Madrid on top in the 70th minute . Carlo Ancelotti's team played out the game without issue to kick off their season with a win.
